6/20/13 UPDATE: Be afraid. Be very afraid. What I'm about to post may scare small children and cause animals to run into the forest, never to be seen or heard from again. Don't say you haven't been warned.
Here are my BEFORE pics. My curly hair is just a rat's nest and yes, you can see my kitchen garbage can, but don't concentrate on that. Keep your eyes on the rolls and lumps and bumps that, hopefully, will be gone sooner rather than later.
The LeanMoms.com plan, Soft to Sculpted, is very easy to follow and, much to my surprise, I'm NOT hungry for hours after I eat. Yesterday I had cottage cheese with a cut up nectarine in it, and 1/2 cup of oatmeal for breakfast. That was at 7:30. I didn't eat again until after 1:00 p.m. because I was so full. That, like, NEVER happens. So the plan has definitely curved my desire to snack on stuff, either out of boredom or hunger, because now I don't really FEEL like shoving anything into my piehole when I'm bored.
So here you are, Day 4, this is what I look like now. You don't need to know my number, it's frightening enough that I'm showing you this much. But soon, there will be less of me, and more toned muscle to see. So stay tuned. And go try to find the dog, he's probably hiding in the woods behind a tree.

6/17/13 UPDATE: I was offered the opportunity to try the LeanMoms.com plan to get fit and get my butt back in gear on losing weight. What have I got to lose other than about 45 more unwanted pounds? It's healthy eating and regular exercising. A no-brainer, right? Yes, but sticking to a plan has never really been my strong point. So I'm jumping in and promising to stick to this 12 week program to get my body back into some form of 'healthy'. I'll post updates here on this page and maybe even a picture or two. I'll start tomorrow once I scare the children by making them take pics of me in just.....gulp, a sports bra and shorts. Those of you prone to motion sickness or who don't like the sight of bone-white flesh should look away!!!

So I've added this new page to begin (again) my journey towards being healthier, in better shape and yes, smaller in size. In October 2010 our local newspaper, The Shepherdstown Chronicle printed a story on my last weight loss effort. I had lost about 64 lbs and was really looking and feeling good. I started in April 2009 and I ran the Marine Corps Marathon in 2010. One of the biggest reasons I was able to lose so much weight in that time was because I was running. And I had lots of time to run because my husband was not working, so he had lots of time to run the kids here and there, and it freed me up to get my workouts in. He started a new job and I got lazy. Fast forward to present day Snarkfest and here I sit, on my ample buttocks just about 25 lbs shy of where I started back in 2009. I will post occasional pics and discuss my progress here. I've gone back to Myfitnesspal.com to track my food intake and my exercise and once again I will climb on the weight loss horse and ride it as far as I can.

ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you posted this. I've been trying to find someone else to lose weight with. Down 19 pounds since the end of November. It's always motivating for me to see someone else doing the same.
ReplyDeleteIs it my imagination or is the nazicrackho's name getting longer and longer every year??? Inquiring minds want to know?

ReplyDeleteSusieQ, you're on to my plan. Screwing with your head: It's what I dooooooooo.
ReplyDeleteYou've done so well! Keep it up. In my experience I always get where I want to be then a few years later I'm asking what the heck happened. Break the pattern. I wish you continued success!
ReplyDeleteI think it's strange that looking back on this page, NO ONE has mentioned anything about how that pic that was taken in August of 2010 is me in front of a Christmas tree. A CHRISTMAS TREE in August. Anyone??
ReplyDeleteHey that tree made till Christmas again and the Spring of 2011. :)
DeleteHey - Teri - Why are you standing in front of a Christmas in August? That's really strange! I can't believe no one has mentioned it yet.
ReplyDeleteHey Tracy, my next door neighbor likes to jump on the Christmas bandwagon early, so she decorated the house just for me to take that picture!!
DeleteActually, she still hadn't taken the tree down from the Christmas before. :)
:) Glad it wasn't a live tree.
DeleteGreat job ! You look fantastic ! Love those blue eyes.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Anonymous!!! :)
